We would like to begin this month by wishing all of our friends a safe and happy holiday season and thanking all of you for supporting Indo Board in 2009.
Jumping into the news, this fall has proven to be a very successful time for Indo Board Team surfers. In the world of longboard surfing, Indo Team Riders managed a clean sweep at the Professional Longboarding Association (PLA) Championships that took place in Oceanside, California in November. Congratulations go out to Taylor Jensen for winning the event, Steven Newton for finishing second and Tony Silvagni for taking third. In addition to his win at this event, Jensen dominated several other events this year, claiming three contest victories while finishing in the number 11 spot on the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Longboard Tour. This placing ensures that Taylor will be competing as one of the world's finest longboarders on the 2010 ASP World Longboard Tour.
In other surfing news Indo Board Team Rider Justin Quintal continued the Indo Board Team domination by finishing in 1st Place in the longboard division at the 4th Annual Slater Brother's Invitational in Cocoa Beach, Florida in late November. Last, but certainly not least, our most sincere congratulation goes out to Indo Team Rider Brett "Simpo" Simpson of Huntington Beach, California for qualifying for the 2010 ASP World Championship Tour; the richest and most prestigious professional surfing tour in the world.
November also marked the launch of the Indo Board Loop'd Network sponsorship page. Thanks to the nearly 400 athletes that applied for sponsorship with Indo Board. If you think you have what it takes to be an Indo Board sponsored athlete, log on to Loop’d Network, sign up and apply for sponsorship. Who knows, maybe you will end up in our newsletter next month.
Finally, we love a great idea and when that idea combines surfing, fitness training, partying and Costa Rica we are all over it. That is exactly what the Sufari Surf School Surf Fit Camp is all about. Indo Board Fitness Trainer Pete Estabrooks came up with the idea for the 1-week Surf Fit camp that gets to the guts of learning to surf and staying eternally young in seven fun, easy-to-absorb days. No phony promises for instant results or effortless exercise - just the vital facts, daily cardiovascular beach workouts, poolside balance & muscular endurance sessions featuring the Indo Board, surf-specific yoga classes and the worlds best surf lessons. Imagine a holiday where you leave fitter (and smarter) than you arrived with the coolest lifetime skill in the world under your belt. For the active vacationer it gets no better than this. Finally, this month's Letter of the Month comes from Rebecca in Tallahassee, Florida.
I couldn't help but write to you and tell you how much I love the Indo Board! My roommate has one and I am on it all the time. I have become quite skilled and I watch television while on the Indo Board everyday. It is such a stress reliever. I have told all my friends about it and they are all growing to love the indo board as much as I do. I do not have one of my own and I am going to be very sad when she moves out but I just wanted to let you know that your product has made my days a little brighter and I am very thankful to you for inventing it! Your faithful follower, Rebecca
