Indo Team Rider and Team USA member Courtney Conlogue continued her amazing winning streak this summer by taking the overall women's title at the Billabong ISA World Surfing Games in Costa Rica and then returning to California to win the 2009 Supergirl Jam Pro Junior in Oceanside. Conlouge's overall victory at the ISA World Surfing Games was punctuated by Team USA winning the overall team championship for the first time since 1996. Courtney has proven that she will be a formidable figure in the sport of professional surfing for years to come. Congratulations to Courtney and the entire Team USA.
In the world of fitness, Indo Board Balance Trainer was prominently featured at the 2009 IDEA World Fitness Convention in Anaheim, California. Indo Board could be seen as the premier balance training product at the Perform Better booth and also was featured in a workshop presented by Lenita Anthony, M.A. entitled "Dry-land Conditioning For Surfers". Look for Indo Board's presence at the 2010 IDEA World Fitness Convention to be even more prominent!
Across the "pond" our European distributor Indo Europe has hooked up with BASS (British Alpine Ski and Snowboard School) to provide members with Indo Boards for training during the off-season and whenever they cannot get to the slopes in the winter. BASS Director Hugh Monney can be seen in a YouTube video of the Indo Board stating that Indo Board is one of his favorite tools to improve and maintain balance, coordination and core strength.
In other Indo Europe news, Indo Board was proud to participate in the European stops of the RipCurl and Billabong Girls Tours. Both events were held at popular beach in the United Kingdom with professional surfer Steph Gilmore appearing at the Rip Curl event and fellow professional Keala Kennely appearing at the Billabong event. Indo Board played a key role in the fun and festivities with more than 300 girls participating each weekend. Everyone got a chance to participate in the Indo Board classes and improve their balance and coordination while having great FUN!
Indo Team Rider and Extreme Athlete, Matthias Giraud, just got back from s B.A.S.E. jumping photo shoot in Twin Falls Idaho with Getty Images photographer Karl Weatherly. Matthias said "we had a beautiful day with 87 degrees and just a little wind to make the landings nice and soft and a lot of fun!". Look for Matthias on an upcoming National Geographic special on B.A.S.E. jumping and wingsuit flying.
